Visitors arriving at Geneva
International Airport can now pick up a free Unireso ticket
for public transportation from a machine in the baggage
collection area at the arrival level. The ticket, provided
by the airport, allows free travel on the public
transportation system in Geneva for a period of 80 minutes.
Similarly, guests at the city’s hotels may request a "Geneva
Transport Card" for free transportation.
Separately, Rail Europe is offering a 15 percent discount on Swiss Passes purchased prior to the client’s departure. The dollar prices of all Swiss Travel System products sold in North America by Rail Europe are fixed for the entire year. In 2008, The Swiss Pass starts at $174 for second-class tickets or $261 for first-class tickets, per adult, and valid for four consecutive days of travel on Swiss trains, postal buses, city transit systems and lake steamers
