Viareggio came into its own in the 1920s as one of
the most famous and popular seaside resort in Italy. In
1921 Florence Nobleman and engineer Giuseppe De Micheli, owner of a
thermo-hydraulic industry, bought the land to build a new Hotel, and
also took on the task to improve the area located in front of the
future Hotel in view of the subsequent construction of the bathing
establishment 0f 1938.
The new Hotel was built in the record time of just 240 days,
and immediately became the favorite place of the smart set in Italy and
abroad, including aristocrats, notables and members of the moneyed
bourgeoisie, in addition to intellectuals and artists. The hotel
opens out onto the famous, beautiful, wide promenade Viareggio is
known for, lined with couture boutiques, sidewalk cafes and gourmet
restaurants. Strollers day and night provide for a kaleidoscope of
interesting people from all walks of life and a fashion parade par
excellence. You may stroll in your robe or pareo to the beach,
then relax at a sidewalk bar for a cool, refreshing drink.
A voyage
through the history of the most aristocratic hotels influenced the
decision to decorate the five floors each in a different style:
international, deco, colonial, empire and modern for a total
of eighty seven double classic rooms and nineteen deluxe/suites. The
five floors of the tower each boast of an elegant, romantic
suite. The perfect place to dream dreams and paint beautiful
memories to think back on for years to come.

Inspired by the eighteenth century French style, the fashion in
luxury hotels throughout the world from the XVIII century until
today.
Colonial Suite
The pleasures of traveling, the exotic as an inseparable part of
the furnishings: India and the Orient, the taste for faraway places
is present in the decorative use of bamboo and the printed fabrics.
Empire Suite
The style of Luxury: Napoleon Bonaparte introduced the Empire style

with the blue of the sunken swimming-pool, the
sea and endless beaches on one side,
and the Apuane mountains on the other side. Comfortable and wide
public areas to read, listen to music, sip an aperitif ,relaxing
on the “veranda” and watching the sun set over the sea, to the
background of a tinkling piano.
The
