    This distinguished resort and health spa is set on a private estate in the middle of town. The unique location has inspired artists and lent its scenery for motion pictures, notably Fellini's film 8 1/2. Known as one of the Grande Dames of Europe, this is a masterpiece of Tuscan architecture, lavishly furnished with priceless antiques and attentive service in the tradition of the past, in harmony with modern comforts and is fully air conditioned. Spacious lounges allow for relaxation or as the meeting point for guests to share a cup of tea mid-afternoon or cocktails at night.
        Gastronomy is an essential part of the reputation of the hotel and the elegant dining room as well as the  open-air restaurant is renowned for its gourmet cuisine.  Dishes are prepared following the traditional Italian style, and in particular to the tuscan one, based on natural and fresh items, directly from the sourrounding area. According to the guest's needs it is possible to prepare personal and diet menus.

With this in mind, the brand new Spa has become the latest addition to the Grand Hotel & La Pace. Inside you'll find a stylistic cohesion with the rest of the buildings, reflecting the combination of modernity and luxury that characterises the hotel.
        The new wellness centre consists of over 800 m2 of refined design, featuring subtle, soothing tones bathed in soft light and music. In addition to the humid zone dedicated to the Rasul bath, emotive showers and the pool, the health spa offers 7 rooms for individual treatments and a Spa Suite for 2 people with a private Rasul bath. The large hydro massage bath completes the treatments on offer for couples.
   Sports Facilities: Gymnasium, clay tennis court, heated swimming pool on site and  horse-back riding, 18 hole golf course and shooting sports are all nearby.
