The Island of Ischia

     Ischia, sister island to Capri, in the Bay of Naples, is one of Italy's treasured natural mineral water sources and the only spa island in the world. Spas abound on the island to utilize these richly mineralized waters in a multitude of therapeutic health or pampering spa programs.
      Villages ramble through the hills and over the mountains, each charming and with accommodations and services to fit every budget. The port town itself is delightful for an evening stroll down the main street, or 'corso', possibly with a gelato, past artisan shops and boutiques, all open late to accommodate strollers or sit at a sidewalk cafe people-watching.

How to get there:
By Plane:
From Napoli Capodichino Airport it is about 20-30 minutes by taxi to the ports of Naples, Porto Beverello and Mergellina for the faster jetcats and Porto di Massa for the larger ferries. The bus company Alibus dell'ANM also takes you to the port of Beverello.

By Train:
Four main railway stations get you to the harbour of Naples and different ports for ferries to Ischia.
1. Napoli Campi Flegrei: from here you can take a taxi, bus, tram or
    underground to the port of Mergellina. It is approx. 3km from the
    main station or 200 metres from the underground stop.
2. Napoli Mergellina: 200 metres from the Mergellina port.
3. Napoli Centrale: This station accesses Piazza Garibaldi where you
    can take a taxi, tram or bus to the port of Beverello.
4. Napoli Piazza Garibaldi: This station also accesses Piazza Garibaldi
    where you can take a taxi, tram or bus to the port of Beverello.

By Sea:
The hotels concierge can organize a transfer from the airport of Naples to the hotel with private car / hydrofoil or ferry / hotel minibus or microtaxi at the price of Euro 90 for 1 person one way all included.

Sea transport to Ischia departs from four key ports in the Bay of Naples.
1. Porto di Massa at Naples has the large, car carrying ferries and late     night departures
2. Porto di Pozzuoli also has the car carrying ferries and avoids
    entering Naples proper.
3. Porto Beverello at Naples has only passenger carrying ferries and
    jetcats.
4. Mergellina also has only passenger carrying ferries and jetcats.
