Our expertise has evolved through university supervised clinical research and the lessons learned from helping thousands of people lose weight, gain control over their lives and rediscover a happier, healthier lifestyle.

Our programs are designed to provide an ideal balance of structured learning and experiential activities. Specific guest goals include:

weight loss - increased energy and stamina - lowering cholesterol & blood  pressure levels -  managing stress  more effectively - quitting smoking - and generally feeling better,   physically & emotionally.
       Importantly, while we offer a clinically-proven approach, it is not a medical facility. We provide a unique blend of structured programs and a resort environment to create a peaceful, relaxing retreat. Each guest's experience is individualized based upon their needs and abilities.

Lifestyle Transition :
         Our programs prepare our guests to implement these changes in their daily life. Since returning home represents a most critical part in the Institute program, guests learn the elements of continuing care through participation in our Lifestyle Management Plan.  This plan includes hot-line access to counselors, regular correspondence from our professional staff, access to available educational materials, and a subscription to Health-beat,  the periodic Institute newsletter.
   Hilton Head Health, Guests stay in two or three bedroom condos with the option of staying in a private room or personal condo.  Most Guests choose to stay in private room, which offers a private bedroom and private bath with shared living and laundry areas.  There is also the option to stay in a personal condo for an additional fee. 
 
Premium Accommodations: Enjoy more spacious housing during your stay, comparable to that of suite-style rooms.  All Premium Accommodations are guaranteed to be within one mile of the main building.  Limited availability.

Individual Sessions:
Many guests require a more personal, in-depth analysis of their issues and the factors behind them. The program staff is always available during the schedule to provide this individual attention. Sessions are also available in a group setting where appropriate.
